One of my favorite ideas for a baby shower invite is this one shaped like a baby diaper. There are many different versions of this idea out there, but I like this one because it's really easy, takes less than 2 sheets of 8.5x11 paper, and it turns out to be the perfect size to fit in an A2 envelope!
Tutorial & Pattern - Babies need lots of soft hats! How about this tie-top beanie? This tutorial makes a size newborn hat for babies up to about 9 pounds, and uses so little fabric; it’s a great project for re-purposing old tees or other knit items with at least 25% stretch.
Boxy bags are simple to make and you can really use them for anything! They would be a great makeup bag or lunch box too. But please pick one purpose for it. We don't want an old diaper clutch becoming a lunch box...
Tutorial - Dust ruffle, bed skirt... whatever you call it, you need one on your baby's crib. It's cute and most importantly it will hide all of your tubs of toys, clothes and diapers. Another great tutorial by Star at A Load of Craft
by Louise at Cake JournalThese sweet teddy bear cupcake toppers have made them in pink and blue and they are just perfect for a baby shower, christening or party.
***Please always use extra caution when wearing baby (especially newborns and sleeping babies) to make sure their mouth and nose are not covered and they can breath well.
Tutorial - This wrap is one-sided. I've also tweaked a few little things here and there making this one my favorite of them all.
by Liz Stanley at Momtastic How-To - All young kids love to play with blocks and put together puzzles, this combines both of these fun learning based activities and make a great personalized, homemade gift.
